About this project
The NFDI4Microbiota consortium consists of ten co-applicants/partner institutions, including the DSMZ, and over 50 additional participants from the German microbiology research community. The consortium strives to support the microbiology community with access to data, analysis services, data/metadata standards and training, providing guidance and infrastructure for the handling of data from collection to publication.
Within this consortium the DSMZ is developing the StrainInfo database as a new service and under the umbrella of the NFDI4Microbiota use cases. StrainInfo is a database that collects and resolves identifiers for microbial strains, and thereby helps to improve the findability, reproducibility and connectivity of the scientific work.
